Default Hallett Test N Tune Days Aug 6 and 7, 2011

I HAVE rented Hallet Motor Racing Circuit Aug 6 and 7, Cost is be $300 for the Weekend or $150/day. We are not here to make a profit but instead have some fun. Hallett Track rental for both day's is $7200.00 and we will be limited to only 25 participants and only 5 cars on the track at a time. Hallett is a 1.8 mile track so there will be plenty of room to spread out if you like. You can practice all the moves, racing lines that a busy track will not allow. This is a great time to get some experience with your car in a very safe environment. This is NOT a race but more of a Test n Tune session. I hope you will join us for some fun and new friendships.
I made the $4000.00 deposit last night with Hallett so the track has been reserved.

Me too Richard, you were always the rabbit I tried to catch with little success!

I hope all is well with you and your brother and our paths cross again soon.

Of the 15 we have already signed up we have 3 people that have never been on a track of any kind and want to safely drive their cars in performance mode. This is exactly the ones that will benifit the most from this type of event.

Some of the others will want to go out with their buddies and play cat and mouse and that is ok too. I can assure you that Sunday afternoon we will be all tired and much more familiar with our cars and our own driving strengths. This will be fun!!!

This is the perfect opportunity to dial your cars in for those of you planning to attend this years Run N Gun in Hastings, Nebraska in September. Although Run N Gun will offer a vast array of prizes, T-Shirts, awards, and a celebratory dinner this event does not.

If you want to be one of the 25 (firm maximum numbers allowed for insurances purposes) contact me and the remaining 9 participants will be filled as they are received.

Hi Clois,

What are the track tech requirements? Clothing, helmets, etc?

I've put almost 200 miles on mine since I got my tag two weeks ago. Driving in gel coat, and not aligned yet, except by me eye-balling it. I want to get it aligned soon and do something like this.

I've been by your place a couple of times, but missed you.

For those of you still considering you can email me at: tulsacobra@valornet.com and I can send you my telephone number or I can reply back to your email. Great time to get really acquainted with your car and your skills. Plenty of skilled drivers that will be showing any new drivers the correct lines and braking points.

It is a shame I won't be able to make it, I would love to. I've got a daughter that is supposed to come that week so I'll be pretty busy. Good luck filling the last few slots.

I just received a phone call from a person that wanted to know if the event was Totally LEAD FOLLOW? The answer is absolutely NOT!!! you can do lead follow with one of the drivers more familiar with the track but you can also blast around the course according to your skill level. This is an event that will allow you to streatch your cars legs in a safe controlled environment. Instructions are available if you desire.

Clois, are spectators allowed? We don't have a car yet but since R&G moved a little far for a day trip, I would love to see the cars in action, would even help if needed.

Spectators are welcome and appreciated. Grab a cooler and some lawn chairs and come on down. We would love to have you. There should be a pretty good assortment of Cobra's if you are wanting to compare manufacturers. Here is a link to the track web site.

Hallett Motor Racing Circuit

If you are arriving on I44 take the exit to hiway 412 and follow it thru around Tulsa and the IDL then east past Lake Keystone to the Hallett/Jenninngs exit (about 15 miles).

Default Hallett weekend in August

I would prefer to participate one day only, but will pay for both and participate in both if necessary.

Clois did you ever have a brake boiling problem at Hallet last time in the Daytona we were good for about 4 laps all out then the brake heat really took its toll on lap times have you built some duct work for your car im thinking about starting while I still have time.We always run fresh fluid of corse it was about 110 that day
