Default Blue Suede Cruise Summit Motorsports Park July 22

Just wondering if anyone one here is planning on going or has ever been to the blue sude cruise at Summit motorsports park in Norwalk Ohio on the weekend of July 22nd.

I have never been there but it supposed to be a really big show and they have fun runs on the strip. Its formally a good guys event. 45 dollars get you and a guest in to show your car and you can run as much as you like. I figured I would go and embarrass myself at the drag strip.

I went the first four or five years. A very good friend of mine started the show and ran it for the first three years, and it was known as the Blue Suede Cruise. Then Good Guys took it over and ran it for a couple of years..I don't believe it ever got the crowd like Good Guys expected, and that's why they dropped it. When Good Guys ran it, they had the fun runs, like my friend had, but also added class runs. I forget what class I ran, but I think it was C Nostalgia Gas. You will have your normal vendors, Woman's World..a little something to do for the wife, swap meet, food..etc etc etc. It's not a bad event, there won't be any track prep for the fun runs, everyone should experience it at least once. IMHO the Woodward Dream Cruise in August is a lot more fun. We'll be up there for 5 days of cruisin fun, and it's not that far from you. PM me if you want to know anything else about either.

Supposedly, there is no more racing at any GoodGuys events. Part of the reason they no longer sponsor/run the Blue Suede Cruise.

It is an ok event. I went either last year or the year before. I cannot recall. I live close to there, so it isn't bad. I surely wouldn't drive more than about 1.5 hours to get there.
