thin Alum. angle works good for the vents, and then use (1/4 "perforated bolts) from Mc Masters Carr. The perforated bolts have a washer like head with holes, you can use a small amount of bondo to attach the perferated bolts to the inside fenders so the vents are positioned perfectly.
Mine has been on there for 4 years now, no problems.
