Clay Bar treatment
I tried one of those clay bar treatments yesterday and I have to say it works great and it was also easy to do!

Yep, I do it once a year on my daily driver and the paint looks fantastic. Follow it up with some Zaino and it will be amazing.

The product works great. I'm a auto body/painter, so be careful.
1- choose a known company as there's cheap knock-offs.
2- make sure you wash the car first, to get most debris off the paint.
3- use good microfiber towel's.

Clay bar with water/ little Dawn blue dishwashing soap.
Then Zaino.
You will never go back, ever.

I have excellent results using Griot's Speed Shine with their clay bar. Be sure to stop swiping the clay across the surface as soon as you feel the slightest drag. Re-lubricate the surface and continue. Repeated swipes over an area rarely make the surface smoother-one is usually enough. Work small areas at a time and always wipe the surface free of lubricant before moving on.

I agree, that you can also use a spray detail wax for lubrication, instead of water.

I'm another Zaino fan. I use a squirt bottle with a cap full of car wash soap, then fill to the top with water. This solution works well to keep the paint surface lubricated while using a clay bar. And it is a cheap solution to make...

I don't care for the use of car wash soap, as it can dry unless you're working fast and keep the surface wet. The spray instant wax is not an issue, fast & safe. Especially if you have hard water, as it will put on some of the chemicals you're trying to get off with the clay bar.
