Lone Star or Superformance
Wanted to get some advice from owners out there. I have always wanted to get a Cobra replica. I am now in the financial position in my life where I can make this dream come true. I always had the idea in my head that I would get a Superformance Cobra as I had driven one in the late 90's and loved it. I came across a Lone Star Cobra the other day for sale for considerably less money. I am wondering if I should get the Lone Star and enjoy the ride for less money? Or, should I wait a bit longer and get the Superformance I have always wanted. I don't know much about Lone Star, but I love the way the Superformance Cobras are set up. Help! Thanks!

They all have their plusses and minuses. Get the one that will make you happy. Going half way only gets you half way there.

Get what makes you happy. The Lone Star is not the same as the Superformance. I love my Lone Star but my decision was based more on construction. Since you are buying a car already finished, take your time to look around. It's a buyers market and there are some great deals out there.

When I bought my SPF in 2003 I wanted a Cobra that had quality control, fit and finish. Did not want to make one up from a kit in my garage. Superformance cars are manufactured and assembled in their S. Africa based factory unit after unit. Quality control is paramount and you can depend on that in the used SPF market today.

My thought when I was in your position was this... These cars are dangerous enough as it is. Unless you are willing to completely trust the builder with your life, go with a product that is professionally built and tested.
Be patient, this process is a fun part of the entire experience.
