Just make sure the line is rated for vacuum and won't collapse.
I use steel tubing along the length of the transmission then vacuum hose, maybe 8" or so at each end. There are relatively few bends in most of the steel tube that make it pretty easy to shape and install, and there are a couple of stock clips that hold it in place. Makes a fairly neat installation.
If you're a "show" person, polished SS tubing works fine too LOL
