Hydraulic clutch question

I have a hydraulic clutch with an external slave push cylinder. It is mounted on a bracket attached to the Quicktime bellhousing using an FE style fork (pivots on the driver side), TKO600, 351w based engine.

Do I need a return spring to pull the fork back?

You shouldn't need a return spring if all is working fine.... but, having said that, a spring can't hurt.

Are you having a problem, e.g, clutch not fully engaging?

No, you do not. The clutch pressure plate will force the fork back to it's original position.

That said, make sure the slave pushes the fork in a straight line. Not at an angle. Otherwise you will invite throwout bearing failure.
