Default New over here , need info

Hi guys.
Yesterday i saw a 427 cobra for sale ( fair condition but needs
partial restoration ).
The guy told me that the car is a replica but the vin number starts
with CSX33..
the title also says CSX33..

Are there fake chassis numbers or am i in front of an hidden treasure ?

Thank you for the info.

If it doesn't have an aluminum body, the chassis plate is definitely "fake". Lot's of people install replica ID plates.

it might be a contempory cobra kit.....b/c I think most of the mso's were "csx33XXX....note the extra "3" in the beginning. I bet that is what it is.

The guys on here are well versed in identification of the different breeds. Pictures are very helpful but a good description of frame and suspension and any obvious viual cues on the body will usually get us close. I'm with Kramer so far I have seen quite a few Contemporaries numbered that way.
