LASAAC Show at Santa Monica Pier 9/17/11
3 Attachment(s)
Today was the annual Tony Sousa Car show put on by the LASAAC.
Nice turnout as always. Many familiar faces and cars. Here's a few standouts: King Cobra Attachment 19264 COB6132 all shined up Attachment 19265 And my favorite: Anthony Boosalis' THIRD Cobra, CSX3047. Said by many to be the most original 427 S/C around. It's all there. Unmolested (sort of). Impressive. He still has his TWO Full Comp 427's :D Attachment 19266 Nice day at the pier. |
A SoCal friend was there and sent me some phone pictures. He was so moved he bought me a Cobra hat there. I'm going to have to schedule a visit around this weekend. Thanks for the pics!

On the gold (and some blue) 427 SC at the Santa Monica pier show
Yeah rap me onthe knuckles again because I don't have a SAAC register but does the newest Boosalis 427 in his equipe have
a racing history? Why was it neglected for so long? Looks like 30 years of dust to me. Did it have a lot of owners since it was first sold? I didn't have the nerve to ask the new owner, a Mr. Anthony Boosalis, what the purchase price was but heard someone say North of a million the engine he said was already done when he got it. Is it using the same intake manifold and carburetor as the original? I don't think it had the turkey pan. I have pictures shot at the event that I am willing to trade my prints (yes, non digital) for someone else's pictures of racing Cobras back in the day (before 1970). I will also make a painting of it if my pictures turn out good (yes before digital we had to wait at the drugstore for pictures to be developed...) Now you could say Anthony controls almost 1% of the genuine 427 Cobra market. |
