Larry,
Great photos!
Nice to see the car being run. The blueing of the side pipes is interesting, looks like the pipes are fairly new ?

Wow, what a great find! Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures of the car which quite literally changed my life.
Like many, the first Cobra I ever saw was from "The Gumball Rally" and I've been completely and utterly snake-bitten from that moment on. It's been a lifelong dream (presently realized) to own a Cobra and it was this very car that started it all for me.
What a shame that this car sat locked up and unused for such a long time, but it sure looks to be in fabulous condition.
I wonder what its sister car (CSX3255, then owned by Duane Bower) looks like today. This is the only pic I've ever found of it on the Interwebs:

Hey Mark. Thanks! Yes, family is well. Brother is working on his FFR Daytona. Hope to have it on the road soon.

Nice to see it being used in anger too!
Interesting shape on the rear fenders.

So Awesome! Thanks for those pics, LMH.
And I think those pipes look great. Then again, I think cars look better dirty.
Nice to see an original driven like that.

I can relate to that Sundude. I've always loved Ferraris and was considering one (an older one) when deciding on a fun car. I bought The Gumball Rally for the Ferrari and and came out with a snake bite. It wasn't fair fight, IMO. The Daytona does NOT do it for me.

360 HP

Where did those numbers come from?

I was talking to the owner at the track. He said Michael Sarrazin was the one who crushed the nose on the L.A. freeway. Sarrazin just passed away a few months ago BTW.

It would be a tough call as the owner of this car to have it restored as it originally came from the factory vs. in the Gumball look (Cibie square lights and all of the river patina)
And would one consider the heritage/provenance of this car in the same realm as one with a race breed??
Considering how many people fell in love with the Cobra based upon these two particular cars I would think it may bring in more at auction than a similar car with race heritage from a pure emotional buy standpoint.

Could it be that CSX3243 was originally a 428 car...?

"Gumball Rally" movie is important part of our Cobra archive and those cars should be keep as on the movie.
