CSX4005LA on its way to new owner
Well, it looks official. My beautiful little Cobra is going to a new home in Japan. I really didn't want to sell it, and had I had a 3-car garage, I would have kept it and gotten the GT, in spite of the boss' objections to riding in it. In fact, the GT purchase was initiated before the Cobra sale started and I would have stuck it out and put the Cobra in storage until next summer (because, well, the boss needed her garage space over the winter).
I still love Cobras, and feel that some day I will have another. Probably a Kirkham 289 (ignoring all of the secondary issues with aluminum in Colorado, just don't drive it if it looks like it is going to rain). Or a Daytona Coupe, again with a small block - I think the boss will feel the stigma associated with the Cobra-related issues. The GT will be "our" car and the Cobra can be "my" car. That works, doesn't it? But it needs a 3 car garage to happen. We'll downsize living space and upsize garage space in the next 3 or 4 years (before the 2.99% 5 year ARM adjusts)
Anyway, this place is "Cobra home". This forum is the "go to" place for technical info on all aspects of these cars. I learned alot before buying and continued to be amazed at the new info that comes every day. Keep up the good work.
I'll poke in every once in a while when good Cobra related news comes my way. I still have lots of friends related to Cobras and live only 12 miles or so from the Shelby American Collection so will post news from there.
Until then!
Cheers!
P.S. Drive it like you stole it.
