Worst Cobra Replica Manufacture & Why ?

In your opinion,.... what is the worst cobra manufacture as far as appearance, quality ect,...past or current, and why ?

Photo's would be great, so we all can see what went wrong with the particular company's version of the Cobra.

I don't know anything about this cobra, whither it was a company or one man's dream of a cobra, but it's the WORST BUTT UGLY of a car, let alone a cobra,... I've ever seen.

WHY ??? :JEKYLHYDE

Kirkham because of their dull finish and from what I have been told their excellent customer servcie. You see the best service is the one you never need because there are no problems.

The monstrosity that FUNFER2 originally posted is called a Goben. It was built from a Chevy Cavalier. Believe it or not they actually sold a few.

I'm surprised that no one has named CMC/Streetbeast as worst manufacturer. Not so much for their product as for their business practices.

We the branded/labelled are waiting! Certainly their business practices were nothing to write home about. Our car is almost 19 yrs old,we still cherish it.Have had our car appraised and could not be more happy no matter what some of you have to say.

I'm still waiting for my back ordered 289FIA Road Serpent kit......I paid them cash in full......Always wondered why they wanted it all in singles though and could only meet me behind some Armenian deli after midnight.....But I know it will be well worth the wait...........:JEKYLHYDE

Buzz 10-27-2011 05:26 AM

Armenian deli?! I thought they had set up shop in the back of a Turkish diner!

Don Goben partnered with Art Zimmer in 2003 to produce something called the "Zimmer American AC Mustang" which basically grafted a Cobra-like fliptop snout onto a Fox-platform Mustang.

See for yourselves:

kirkham

Because once you see a kirkham, that raises the bar and you feel like its time to trade up.

That's what I had thought. Interior has GM written all over it. Man that's really ugly! The louver area sorta looks Vette style.

For me it is my experiance with Contemporary Classic. I got one of the prototypes (I was not informed) nothing fit, nothing worked, I got the back order deal (still waiting Peter) parts were crap. I would call and tell Peter that the "specially made parts"did not fit! I would get" yes we are aware of that and have corrected that"Ihave had the kit for two months and after a few calls I was told to f.... off!!! Montti Gotti who was the real guy behind the construction was nice and he talked to me a lot even after his health started going south,Peter Bayer who seems to be the face of Contemporary is a JACK OFF. Contemporary is one of the best cobra kits ever, and I am sure that all the manufactures have a story of someone who slipped between the cracks, for contemporary that was me.

FUNFER2 10-27-2011 07:11 PM

Although I can't find a photo, one company grafted a Chevy Caprice with a cobra. It really sucked, as with most cars that you can name what makes were used. I don't know why people do this ? :JEKYLHYDE

Look at this Lambo,.....? (Pontiac Fiero )
Seriously !

It was for mistakes like these that the term FUGLY was invented.

Thor maine 10-28-2011 09:53 AM

That is a strange Lambo kit. I have seen Lambo kit that go on a stock length Fireo and they look ok a little short, but this one looks loke it was built on a golf cart.
