Default Bellevue Washington area Cobras?

Hey Guys,

I might be relocating due to work opportunities in the Washington state area..
Bellevue is where my possible new employer resides...Bungie Studios.... Are there any special regulations or surprises I need to know with owning a Cobra in Washington? Are there any cobra peeps in that area?

What is the season / duration for driving the cobra in Washington. How often would I be able to drive the Cobra? Is it true that it rains alot there? Sorry, so many questions....I'm still in the negotiations stage with them..Trying to get a feel for what I might be in for.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. If I end up moving there it would be nice to meet up with some of you guys there.

Thanks,

Lee

Yes, it rains quite a bit up here in the Pacific Northwest.

Sorry I can't answer anything about regulations for Washington as I live in Oregon.

They just passed a new law so that we can now register/title our cars as 63-67. No more emission inspections. Take a look at the link below. There are also some other threads in the NW forum you may want to look at.

Any inspections under 5585 yet?

Yes, it does rain a lot here, and even when it's not raining, it grey and dreary. They measured our summer last year in minutes. Not hours or days, but minutes. The last two summers have sucked big time, so hopefully this coming summer will be nice.

Thanks for the reply..I was worried about the rain..That's good they are letting you register them as 65 etc..In Utah I didn't have to deal with emmissions either..

hmmm..The rain is a bummer.

I just got my last run in this week and have my Cobra up on jacks for winter servicing. I think you could get out today. There will be days during the winter where you can run around town, but it is too cold for me. Coming from UT, you might be OK. It is actually warmer where you are moving to than where I live. There is a dealer of classic cars in Bellevue selling Cobras if you want to look called Park Place Motors or something like that.

Lee-John is correct, the summer has sucked. But having said that I've managed to put 2500 miles on 2089 since April, and never a drop of rain on the cobra...
(Ward-lotsa driving days left, get that beast back on the road!!...;-)

Well that's good to hear it wasn't a complete wash out. 2,500 is pretty decent driving. I put about 5,000 in Utah..I could live with 2,500 and a little more. If I end up relocating I will have to get a hard top..That way I could drive it a bit more...ha ha..

I bet the trees and landscape is beautiful and green with all of that percipitation. Ocean and beaches aren't too far away either. I will be loving the salmon and trout fishing there too. Utah is good for trout but it's really over crowded on the streams and rivers here.

SDR,
Yes that would be Bungie as in Halo...I have been involved/work as an artist in the Video game industry. I have been doing this for the past 18 years. My first video game was Mortal Combat 2 in 1994/1995..

Still all in the early stages with negotiations..There is alot to consider before I take the plunge..

If it happens I would love to meet up with you fellow cobra owners..
