I will make some measurements and take some up-close pictures. This little attachment was cobbled up from some scrap pieces of angle and flat plate aluminum laying around the shop. An application of powder coating makes it look legitimate, but realize I have never actually used it to tow the car!

Also, DONS427 comment about chrome jackplates looking better is correct. I had never thought of that until he noted as such.

Very nicely done and looks nice. That said, it looks like it bolts on easily so an option might be to keep it in the trunk and bolt it on if needed.

Love ERAs and that one is one of the nicest I've seen.
That tow hook is great idea. Wonder if something could be fashioned for a CSX?

You know, I feel sure you could pull both ERAs and CSXs up on a flatbed via a tow strap wrapped around the quick jacks, and do so without damaging anything. The trick is just making sure you don't drag your snout going up. But the last time I broke down I drove it up on the flatbed with the starter motor and it didn't drag. |

That is one SWEET ride. Well done man. Love the meatballs and single roll bar. I've had struts on my hood for 11 years now and has never tweeked the hood. Is the black firewall shroud for HVAC?

I like your car very much, great job, I have the gas struts for my hood and trunk, it looks and works very well , I see you like bb chevys too, I have a stroker bb chevy in my cobra, I love it. |

Great looking car and boat. To take a fine car like an ERA and then apply the tweaks u have done must very rewarding. Well done
Hopefully I never need a heart surgeon however by looking at the work u have done on the car maybe u should send me ya business card.

macloft, thank you for the kind compliments. Working on the cobra and boats is actually more technically demanding than open heart. But also, working in the shop is more rewarding and a heck of a lot more fun.
