Default 289 wiring diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a rack and pinion 289
equipped with a Ford generator and voltage regulator?
The one I have is for an early car with a Lucas generator.

Hello, I was looking for a diagram for a late 289 for a long time and could not find any help. Finally gave up and went thru the system one wire at a time to find solutions.
Please send me a PM if you get lucky and find any info.
Good Luck, Karl

I have a copy of a wiring diagam in my reference material labled:

ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM
LUCAS MODEL SF4 TYPE
NEGATIVE EARTH

Unfortunatly, is shows an alternator setup.
I have no idea where the drawing originated from.
You are both welcome to a copy...PM me if interested.

Just a thought but depending on which part you are attempting to anylize; you might look at the early Lucas setup and compare to a Ford Falcon with a Generator, or even an English Ford.

Hi Bill, I wonder how close it is to the 427 wiring diagram since they used the Autolite alternator.

Only the very early (260) cars had generators, so a 289 rack and pinion car would have an alternator
Cheers,
Glen
