Who own's a Cobra?? Who sells a Cobra?? Let me quote"just a few magic hours flat out against the red line with no catalytic converter and no 55 mile per hour speed limit". If you get it then you own and keep your Cobra, if you don't you sell. Now a toast"to internal combustion and wind in the face"

I've sold 5 Cobras and now have a 6th one so it was to build another Cobra or speciality car like GT350R, GT40 etc.

Baby on the way
I never thought I would want to sell but I own a CSX 4797. It is just the roller no motor or trans. Silver w/ black stripes. Wondering if anyone knew what current prices are ballpark?

Here is my $.02:
I never planned on selling my Cobra, ever. I literally teared up as the new owner drove off in the car that I built in my two stall garage on nights and weekends over a three year period. (The last thing my father helped me with before he passed). It was an embodiment of the other toys I sold to pay for newer or desired Cobra parts to complete the car I dreamed of having since I was twelve. I sold because I unexpectedly lost my job. To complicate things my brother who isn't winning his cancer fight needs a little help. Simply...the money from the sale could be better used elsewhere.
When things improve; economy, job, my family's health...I already have the components picked, the build plan layed out, and everything from the dash switches to the color firmly entrenched in my memory.

I'll probably never sell mine, but others have probably thought the same thing and wound up doing so.
I was able to ride in an original 289 Cobra in 1969, I've wanted one ever since. I've spent 3 of the last 4 yrs building my FFR. I took a year off while my mom was living with us, she was battling cancer, and lost the battle.
In the last year, I've had it to two open track days, and absolutely loved it. I learned more about the car on the track than I ever would've on the street. I still respect it, but now I know how much I can push it, up to my ability, street tire capabilities, etc. A little over 1,000 street miles on it, still w/o paint. I blew the motor on the last track outing, so now I'm itching for the new 462 FE to be ready to install. This one will have four 48 IDA Webers on it.
My wife loves it, even tho' I can't get her to drive it, yet. As soon as it is running again, I'm gonna insist she take it for a gentle spin. She keeps after me to get it painted. I'm having to much fun driving it and tinkering with it, but we have finally settled on colors, as soon as we get the new engine installed and tuned.
I have a 5 yr old son who has all indications of being a very serious gear head. If he stays interested, it may be his some day.
I hope I never have to sell it, but if I do HAVE to, at least I can say I had one.

ERA #620 for sale...third time in last year
ERA #620 -- a gorgeous 427 street Cobra -- has just been listed on Cobra Country for the third time since last summer.
Jun 2011 - $49,900 Charlotte VT
Apr 2012 - $47,500 Palm PA
Oct 2012 - $48,000 Collinsville IL What gives?? Is there something wrong with this particular car, or does it just keep finding the wrong buyers??

Ac cobra's look great and I feel that the cars are a death trap in a side collision and perhaps this is another reason that people think it is time to get something more safer.
