Al's really not that bad, he just comes off that way. He needs to cultivate his subtleties. Perhaps I should take him under my wing?

We don't want him building a 428, so maybe he can be mentored by someone with a REAL FE, preferably in a Cobra in a non-beige color.

Uhhh, you mean my short-stroke (4.125"), 447CID, super-fast revving, super high revving, solid liftered, aluminum flywheeled, FE that just happens to have a 428 block as its starting point? It's more fun to drive when it's built that way. Yep, even Al has pretty much gone on record admitting that he made a mistake with his SBF. If he had it to do all over again he would certainly change his ways.

naw, wouldn't touch a leaky FE, would rather go faster and pull more lateral g's with an aluminum 427w ...
yanno, the motor of choice for the road course racing guys

I just give the range these cost and tell them I honestly haven't added up the receipts on mine. The question doesn't bother me at all. I choose the high road and assume they are just curious, no matter how they ask. Cheers.

Neutral
What it costs & what I paid are two separate things...
Which do you want to know?
