Need some clutch ideas please

I'm glad that's cleared up. I could see there was a huge gap in communication.
Brent, I know I did not buy heads from you, but you are in my future, your knowledge and helpfulness is much appreciated.
Now-- you keep stressing adjustment. I never had a problem and I don't know of any secrets. I usually make sure I don't over clutch at full depression [just enough to disengage and a tad more] and either the clutch is in or out, I don't play with it. . The car is light enough to do this. I don't mind a little chatter either. Is this what you are getting at?

Lou, with an external fork/TOB clutch, you adjust the slave so that there is a little distance so the clutch is not engaged (which it will do as it wears). Here's a detailed post with pics that I did a while ago for a fellow ERA owner: Clutch Adjustments

Patrick has got the right idea. Adjustment refers to how much "preload" the throw out bearing has on the pressure plate. Of course you don't want a situation where the bearing is pushing on the fingers, thus engaging the pressure plate. This would cause slipping and damage from heat.

Thanks guys. I have a cable clutch but I understand the no pressure on the fingers although I have heard arguments that if there is slight contact of the throwout bearing its ok. I just don't believe there should be.
