Rod,
Interesting...I am just curious who Shelby Arizona is/was? I know we have had a couple of Shelby Dealers in AZ...but...I don't ever recall a Shelby Manf. Facility in AZ...?

Honestly, I'm not an expert, so I can't offer any insight. But a couple signatures on the hood that stood out to me, and I bet the AZ folks may know this car.
Bob Bondurant's name is signed and it's also signed by Shelby Cobras of AZ, with the names Christal and Tom. I have a vague recollection that those names will cause some folks to get angry around here, IIRC.

7500.00 would be a nice price for the body. Dont they normally sell for around 18,000?

The big heart with "Christal + Tom" in it is really quite moving. I suppose a can of Goo 'b Gone would take care of that though.

Could this be left over from Hi Tech? They had many of their guys move over to Shelby.

Sorry, Tim Gunning is another TimG. I think he worked at Hi Tech and built my CSX3002 replica. I saw his name on some of the paperwork when my friend had it built.

The seller is the gentleman who was selling his Kirkham on ebay about 6 months ago that had the right front suspension damage and rt fender damage. He stated a sway bar coupling broke causing him to go off the road and hit a street sign. We all remember how that story proved to be inaccurate.

Hi Tech's aluminum bodies were hand made. That's a Kirkham body made by a press. Still cool though!

Ive owned an alum Hi Tech car, its in my photos. I agree that the bodies were better made. Mine had better welds and the seams finished easier. There were only 11 Hi Tech alum cars ever made. Most of those bodies were made by a company in Lake Havasu Az. They werent exact replicas of the original Cobra. I just believe they were better. The rear wheel well opening shapes were rounder at the rear. The front spoiler area is lower to the ground in the corners and the rear skirt is lower leaving more body under the tail lights. I think the Kirkham Cobra has been a great car and have nothing against them at all. Just an opinion.
