Halibrand (replica) Painted Centers?
I'm thinking about painting the centers of my wheels black. What do you think, satin, or gloss?

black or gloss black
I'm thinking about going with gold chrome centers on my russo red beasty. Should look cool I would go high gloss black or black chrome, it would look great with any color

FLAT BLACK all, it is best, shows no brake dust or finger prints, also looks very racy.

Original wheels were unfinished aluminum, as cast.

Original wheels 3000 -3100 series were magnesium and had a gold colored protective finish on the entire wheel, most owners polished that coating away on the rim area and left the center as coated.

I would go with flat black to match the pipes.

Gloss. Satin looks almost flat. I like mine Satin, my thinking is that you want yours to look somewhat glossy. Powdercoat Gloss

Mine are powder coated gloss black with a hint of metal flake to match the stripes.

Had mine painted in flat black.1) find some someone who really knows what they are doing so nothing gets in the center, etc. take the tires off and have it done right 2) don't paint any surface that mates up with the spinners.3) make sure to cover up the pin drive holes as well.

I agree with Jeff, pale gold, I'm planning on doing mine like that ( car is guardsman blue), but it only really works with the blue, never seen it on other coloured cars (apart from the hertz)

I thought as a first try I'd just buy the gold wheel paint from a car accessory shop, over here in France when you see the 'boy racers' that have done it, it looks quite a pale gold

I like the gold wheel with the blue car.
Several weeks ago I stripped my Trigos to bare metal. I powder coated one of them a pale gold and then hung it on my red car. I left it on the car for a week while trying to decide which way to go. I just didn't care for the look.
Since then I've had the Billboard Goodyears mounted on the bare wheels. Just yesterday I mounted all wheels on the car and went out for my first drive since last October. I think I'll go with the nekkid wheels!
