Of course I liked the part about CS going to GM and Austin-Healey for his first attempt.

...nice article, great trip down memory lane. At the ripe old age of 19, I took delivery of my 66 K code Mustang at Robert Loud Ford in PAsadena, CA. At the same time, sitting in the show room was a brand new blue and white Cobra. 427, dual quads. Only $10k. ( I understand that at the end of the production run, one could get a new one for only $5k.)
Been over 40 years to finally get there, but was finally able to knock this one off my bucket list....

To me it would have been interesting if GM had agreed to sell CS engines.

Imagine if the 427 car had ended up with a Chevy all aluminum 427 ZL-1.
