Default New Owner in Minnesota!

I did it! I finally bought a Cobra. I am the proud new owner of Superformance #1962. Spent a day driving it around Lake Tahoe and had a blast! Just have to get it out to Minnesota now. Can't wait! So, if your in the Twin Cities, lets go for a cruise. See you out there.

Does it have studded tires or tire chains on it?

From the web cams I have for Lake Tahoe it was snowing yesterday.

And congratulations on your new Cobra.

Well, we don't have any SPF guy's in our group mostly FFR's an ERA and a B&B, but your welcome to come and hang with us. Oh I forgot there's one guy who build his own from the ground up. There is an all ford show at the automotorplex next Sat. morning. When will you have it home.

Kyle, That's great! Did you get any pictures? Can't wait to see it.

I've got an SPF (as of last fall) and am in the complete opposite direction of the metro area from you guys, but definitely planning to make it to the AutoMotorPlex one of these days.

For whoever is interested, the AutoMotorPlex website says the all Ford show is Sat, 04/21 @ 9am and the next Cars and Coffee is Sat, 05/05 @ 8am.

Thumbs up

WELCOME TO THE ADDICTION M8! THERE IS NO CURE!

Awsome pictures/ride, the for sale posting (SPF #1962) is still listed! Nothing like instant gratification But you seem to have paid a little higher price, than you spoke of wanting to pay before. She/1962 looks worth every penny thou. I really like the idea of a 5 speed. So much better during a longer cruse. I'm thinking of making the swap this comming off season. Will also switch to a 308:1 or 323:1 rear gear with the new trany @ 2.87/1st & 0.82/5th. This should keep the shifting fairly close the the original set up now installed; 354:1 w/10 bolt top loader. I'll just stash the original parts. If you don't mind me asking? What is your rear gear? I didn't notice on the for sale page.

Tranny is a Tremec TKO 600 with 2.87/.82 RR Road Race. It purrs along at 80 in 5th under 3000. Great for cruising. I feel like I got a great deal. I see other cars out there in the 55K to 70K range, and this one compares if not exceeds some of them. Now I have to wait! It's a beautiful day here and my car is still in Reno.

Question

The rpm's sound great @ 80 mph! But do you know the actual rear end gear ratio? Like 354:1 or 331:1 If the actual rear end ratio is not listed in you paper work, mabe you could ask the seller. As He said he was the original seller/dealer, hopefully he will have that info. As I plan to use the same trany you have. Knowing the rear gear you now have, will help me make my final rear gear choice. Thanks m8!

I believe it is a 373:1 rear end ratio.
