Been a car nut all my life. Wanted something special and always loved the Cobra. Looked a Vettes, Vipers you name it. Still came back to the Cobra! The car just doesn't get old and the lines are classic. Will be 37 when mine is delivered anytime now. More than excited!!!

48. This is my "early retirement project." I'm not waiting until I actually retire because: (1) my kids are young now and are doing the project with me, and (2) I'll be too old to crawl around under cars and possibly even to drive it, and (3) I may never get to retire anyway, with three kids

Bought my SPF when I was 28. I turned 39 last month. Wish I could drive it everyday.
I agree, you have to live your whole life, not just your retirement years.

Got my first Cobra (Stallion) at age 39. Second WC Cobra at 52. Now, I am contemplating the Kirkham on CobraCountry or a RCR GT40 build now that I am retired (60).

Bought my kit when I was 36 - had turned down the opportunity to buy a 289 for $400 when I was 20 and regretted it. Took 6 years to complete car because of cash flow considerations (was seriously into dingy sailing at the time) and still have the car. Am 64 now and will keep it till I can no longer drive - currently re-configuring it into a more track-day oriented car.

Bought my Butler Racing Cobra components in 1986 I was 36. After many start and stops attempts, caused by living life, which included some near death experiences, I finally got her done to be able to drive her this Spring. What a joy! It has taken years off my real age of 63.

27 years in the making...could be a record.

This was a solo event for me and the only time another set of hands were laid on the car was when I placed the body on the frame.

It was a love-hate relationship and you can explore the build in my Facebook album below.
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=0d9c5c8c6d

Driving her for the first time this year is a total love relationship But when I dismantle her and start the painting process it will be love-hate again. Hoping for nirvana and bliss when that is finally done.

I just bought mine at age 50. ERA 714 with a 427 Aluminum beast of an engine. Absolutely love it and looking forward to Spring and Summer.

I was 30 when I got my kit, 31 when I finished it, I'm 41 now, and I'm still enjoying the drive.

I purchased the Kellison (WCC) at 45, I'm 50 now. I was glad to see that my group has fewer in it than the 56-65. I'm slightly ahead of the curve still.
