WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT THING IS GORGEOUS !!!!

I AM DEFINATELY "NOT" GOING TO LOOK AT THOSE PICTURES ANY MORE.

I MAY BE WRONG BUT THAT PRICE IS AWFULLY HARD TO PASS UP.

THAT LOOKS LIKE A GREAT BUY FOR SOMEBODY. (I AM NOT GOING TO LOOK AT THOSE PICTURES ANYMORE).

IS THAT A REASONABLE "GOING PRICE" OR SHOULD WE EXPECT SOMETHING TO BE WRONG WITH THE CAR ??

I AM DEFINATELY NOT LOOKING AT THOSE PICTURES AGAIN !!!

Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK

WELL - - - - MAYBE JUST A QUICK PEEK !

Gentlemen,

Referring to prices, I actually think the $34,500 price for #165 is on the high side. I just don't think there's a big enough following for these cars because there aren't enough of 'em. Maybe that will change over time. But I was sure glad to buy mine for a good price a year & 1/2 ago with only 3,000 miles on the clock.

On another note, the last one made, a 2000 Black one with Mustang SVT Cobra engine in it just got picked up by a neighbor of mine in Mequon (just north of Milwaukee) and the esteemed founder of this thread "oheck" is just 20 miles up the road from me, so I'm thinking of starting an Excalibur "gang". I'm just not sure if it should be an "outlaw gang" or a "yuppie gang".

Any suggestions? We probably need some good colors to wear too.

Default Excalibur Gang?

Doug,

In fact a fellow Excalibur Cobra owner/friend of mine suggested that also..I'm all for it!

Colors?? hmmm... yours is black...mine is yellow...Hmmmm...

How about Black & Yellow?

As you know that's also the Excalibur cap colors... as seen in the Rhonda Adams calendar...you'll notice it in one of the shots if you can peel your eyes off of Rhonda!

We're pretty fortunate in that there are MANY Excalibur Cobras right here in the Milwaukee area. I know of at least 8...one was recently purchased by a fellow in Green Bay.

Regarding pricing... I'm too new to this to give an educated opinion.

I'm seeing prices for Excalibur Cobras range from $22,000- $75,000!

Consider:

* Excalibur Automobile Company with a distinctive 35 yr history
* SAE Certified Automobile Manuafcturer
* Largest Manufacturer of limited production autos
* Manufactured to DOT specs
* EPA compliant
* Sold with 2 year bumper to bumper warranty
* Limited production ( Less than 150?)

What's a good price? whatever it takes to get one in your garage!

Can you make it to the Kiltie Cruise in Oconomowoc Friday?

Remind me next time you're out...I have some stuff for you.

Tom

Default Excalibur

Howdy all,
I have a 97 Excalibur last 4 VIN "3166" If I recall, when I was dealing with Excalibur, it was one of the last cars they had planned on building.
The color is silver, no stripes
I actually got into it because someone had ordered the car and then backed out after manufacturing had begun. Otherwise, I would not have had a shot at the car and they were not making anymore from that point.

I would like to get together with anyone on this board that may have tech info, like copies of the manual, etc. Don't know if others have had the same experience, but the heat shield clamps on the side pipes keep breaking (I had Excalibur send me a few, but now have run out of them)and trying to find where I can get more.

AND has anybody found an easy way to replace the (*#$(@#$ battery?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to discussions with other Excalibur owners....Thanks, ChuckR1

Blackjack,
I think I saw a post from you that said you were located in Vienna, Va. I am just down Rt 7 from you. I am very interested in who you have found to work on your Excalibur. I haven't really ran into issues, but want to establish a relationship with someone who can work on the car, before I need to go out try my luck on getting a competent person to do any work. Please reply if you can. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

HEY CHUCKR1,

CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING AN EXCALIBUR. IT'S A GREAT CAR.

I'M NO LONGER IN VIENNA, VA, MY HOME THERE EXPLODED AND BURNED SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. I'M LIVING (TEMPORARILY) IN ASHBURN - EVEN CLOSER TO YOU. I WILL EVENTUALLY BUILD JUST WEST OF FRONT ROYAL.

I'M LOOKING FOR A SOURCE FOR HEAT SHIELD CLAMPS ALSO. MINE ARE REALLY "JURY RIGGED".

BATTERY ? WHAT BATTERY ? DOES THE EXCALIBUR HAVE A BATTERY? I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND IT. OH, WAIT - THERE IT IS - TUCKED IN UNDER AND BEHIND EVERYTHING.

IT LOOKS LIKE AN "ENGINE PULL" TO GET THE BATTERY OUT. IF I EVER HAVE TO PULL IT OUT - IT'S REPLACEMENT IS GOING INTO THE TRUNK.

CALL ME AND I'LL GIVE YOU INFO ON SERVICE SHOPS - ALSO ON THE "CAPITAL AREA COBRA CLUB" - A REALLY GREAT BUNCH OF FOLKS (50 PLUS MEMBERS) AND VERY ACTIVE.

OUR CACC WEB SITE IS: www.capitalareacobraclub.com. MY "SCREEN NAME" OVER THEIR IS "SUNDANCE" - IT'S ABOUT A FOUR BEER STORY. MY PHONE NUMBER IS 703-723-7276.

Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK

Hey guys. I keep breaking the welds on my heatshield brackets too. I just have my local garage keep welding them back in place. I think the final fix is going to be providing him with some stainless welding rod which is very cheap and can be had at any local welding supply shop. I'm also having problems with the cross brackets on the ridiculous set up we have for the catalytic converters. Everytime I hit a dip in the road at speeds over about 110 mph the car bottoms out and I break one of the welds on those brackets. I finally just took them off and there doesn't seem to be any real need for them. Everything still seems well supported and I think I actually eliminated some squeaks. Also where the welds broke, a couple of holes in the pipes were left behind and the car is starting to sound more like a real Cobra.

Hey Tom,

Last weekend I saw # 31. It's Green with Gold stripes and a black interior. The owner lives in River Hills and it's a '94. Has the 5.0 litre in it and looks much the same as most of the others I've seen.

Jack,
Great talking with you. I am really looking forward to meeting the club and start do some running. I really appreciate the help in the local shops!
Now, if I can just get that battery replaced without pulling the engine, I'll be good to go! Hopefully, see you Saturday at the VI.

Question Help!- '95 Excalibur front brakes

Hey guys,

I need some help. My front brakes need an overhaul because the pistons front right are a bit jammed. I might need new pistons, seals and so on. The problem is whether the guy at the shop over here nor I can tell who the manufacturer is. The calipers are polished aluminum and have 4 Pistons. No stamp, no engraving, nothing.
The pads are Hawk typ HB 100 and fit several manufacturers according to their website. Maybe one of you guys have the same and already found everything out.

Eric,

I visited the plant some time back and asked for a list of all the components. All their records were destroyed in a fire, but they verbally gave me the list you will see below. I can't be sure of the accuracy, but I hope it helps.

Doug

Has an 8.8" Ford rear end..
Rear brakes are probably 94 Mustangs.
Front brakes are 79 Granada.
Catalytic Converters are 94 Mustang but are custom cut.
It has a reinforced windshield for rollover.
Rear springs come from Dales race shop. 175 # rating.
Front are Carrera coil over springs and shocks.
Steering column is a Chevy S-10 pickup
Steering rack is from a 79 Mustang 2.
Finish Line has all sorts of after market parts and will probably have the Lucas taillight assemblies.
The entire interior was made at Excalibur.
The radiator is special. Was made at Scotty's Radiator Shop in Milwaukee.
The temp gauge runs about 20 deg high. The engine normally runs at about 190 degrees.
Goodyear on Hwy. 100 and National can do front end alignment.
A 1 drive shaft built the driveshaft.
The compressor on the air conditioner is stock but all the lines are custom.
The brake master cylinder came from NAPA but no one knows who made it.
The top hose is a 94 Mustang hose cut to fit.
The lower hose is a universal radiator hose.
The alarm cuts out the fuel pump, the starter and the ignition. It cannot be bypassed. You can not get duplicate keys. There was a red master key that can be used to reprogram the gray keys if you have the instructions. Made by Hella.

Hey Blackjack,

Awhile back you said you were putting a supercharger on your Excalibur. You also mentioned that you did some other mods. How'ed they all work out? Do you like the supercharger? I'll bet it goes like hell now.

Doug

And you have a great day too.
