Haven't they been showing these for years? Can anyone buy anything yet?

Jimmy is the best.
When this deal blows up (..and it will, like all the rest), I hope Jimmy ends up with ownership of the legacy marque.

Not so sure it will, this time. Unlike the AC MkV, the cars this time are all top quality products. All three businesses remain separate entities. And I'm sure Mr Price will have insisted on robust guarantees given his previous encounters with AC.

[quote=london;1187518]A new holding company, AC Cars(EU) Ltd has been registered in Cyprus by Alan Lubinsky.
Alan Lubinsky together with Jimmy Price (Hi Tech, South Africa), Jurgen Mohr (AC Automotive, Germany) and Steve Gray (AC Heritage, Brooklands, England) are the directors of this holding company and will work together to build and sell ACs, whilst maintaining their own separate companies. So what we have here are three separate companies producing different AC models - AC Heritage, traditional aluminium Cobras, Hi Tech, composite Mk11 and 378GT and AC Automotive, composite MkVI, with the holding company chaired by General Sir Jeramy Mackenzie coordinating the operation.
This is not quite correct.
The CEO of the new AC Cars has yet to be announced and, in the interim the advisory board are managing the day to day affairs This board consists of..
Sir Jeremy Mckenzie as Chairman
The below from Wikepedia
1.Jeremy Mackenzie was commissioned into the Queen’s Own Highlanders in July 1961.[1] He was appointed Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion Queen’s Own Highlanders in 1980.[1] He was made Commander of the 12th Armoured Brigade in 1984 and Commandant of the Staff College, Camberley in March 1989 before becoming General Officer Commanding 4th Armoured Division in December 1989.[1] On 2 December 1991 he was appointed the last Commander 1st (British) Corps with the acting rank of Lieutenant-General[2] and in 1992 he formed the Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps and became its first Commander.[1]
In 1994 he became Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe and was responsible for coordinating 52,000 troops from 34 nations who moved into Bosnia and Herzegovina.[3] He retired from the Army in 1999.[1]
He was also an Aide de Camp General to the Queen from 1992 to 1996.[1] He was Governor of the Royal Hospital Chelsea from August 1999[4] to September 2006.[5]
He is also a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London[6]
He presently serves on other international company boards as well
AND that’s not all !! Sir J has been a longtime and still is an A,C enthusiast
2. Alan Lubinsky who owns the AC brand rights
3. Jim Price representing the manufacturing side
4.Allan Edgar, ex Snr executive of the Hyatt group representing the marketing side. Allan Edgar is a marketing specialist who spent 20 years as the Vice President in charge of international marketing and development for the Hyatt Hotel Group.
2 further positions still to be announced
On the selling side Britain is represented by Steve Grey of the Brooklands motor Company
And Germany by Jurgen Mohr.

The purists would argue that only vintage Cobras are the 'real thing'

Jimmy gets my vote. But not my money ( not got any)
I will, however, accept a Zagato for the purposes of long-term testing. Makes sense to me.

I wouldn't let Clarkson anywhere near the car until a fully developed production
version is ready.

Too much! The magic bus!
I seriously doubt Mr. Clarkson has any interest in driving the Zagato. More likely the Hampster................

Whomever takes a turn in it...pray that it fares better than Gerry's Stratos.
Wouldn't hurt to sweat the small stuff.

'Jurgen Mohr' has built replica Gullwings (hence the name of his company) but Mercedes have comprehensively put a stop to all M-B replicas.
