I am thinkin about switching to a stroker small block 427 Chevy with aluminium heads and TBI,and a 5 or 6 speed trans ! What do you think????

Not to worry. You can still buy the traditional hand built aluminium cars from AC Heritage at Brooklands, Surrey - no Chevys in these cars.
Similarly the AC badged Mk11 built in South Africa will be sold with a Ford engine in England.
The Chevys are for the MkVI and the new 378GT.
