Give the search function on CC a shot. Unfortunately not too many options in the 15" size. Avons, GY Billboards, Mickey Thompson, and Firestone. Cooper also makes a tire.

There's nothing comparable to the RAs in 15 inch. There's Avons, but very high priced. Other tire options will not touch the performance of the
RAs, at least not in the correct size. If your thinking 17s, consider 18s. A lot more options available on 18s.

I'm running BF Goodrich Drag Radials. They're much better than the T/As. I just never drive if there's any chance of rain!

AVONs are transformative......almost slick like grip.

Leave the BF/TAs for your custom Chevy van with the waterbed. They were rediculously hard and bad on my old SPF.

Billboards have the look and they're much better.

BUT, The Avons win hands down.

The visual of 18"s on a Cobra gives me vertigo. 17" are bad enough. But that's just me. In 15" performance tires there are three choices: Avons, Avons, or Avons.

18s with black centers look good IMHO. 18s with polished centers are a bit too much. Avons are very good, I've run them, but pale in comparison to the latest R compound tires. Amazing grip and responsiveness.

I have mickey Thompson S/R Radials, wear great, look great, seem to stick pretty well..love the flame tread design, priced right. The only thing is, I don't have anything to compare them too, but I'm happy with my choice.

Smile drag radials

I installed a pair of BFG G-Force Drag Radials on a B&B a few months ago. Mike went from 300 hp to 525 and needed better tires. I drove the Cobra to the alignment shop. While we were at the shop it rained hard for a short time.
I drove home in a light rain on wet streets. I tested the tires because I had heard how unsafe they were in the rain. I could stop good but had to be careful how fast I accelerated. With a hard rain and deep water on the streets I would not continue to drive.
By the time I got home I decided to buy a pair for my Cobra.

Dwight

P.S. Mike has over 2000 miles on the tires and loves them.

I bought mine from this place in Portland. Same price as Kraus Racing, but no shipping.

Contact Trackside Motorports | A-n-T Tire & Wheel | Portland, Oregon

From what I remember they could also get the Goodyear BB's or G7's.

My ERA has 15" Trigo knock offs with Yokohama 352's.

I have nothing to compare them to. I don't take it to the track so I don't care that much. Anyway, they hadn' been mentioned yet so I thought I'd add them to the list.

On these Avons that people are raving about... are they track only? What is the model name of them so I could take a closer look?

Avon CR66Z, they are street (DOT) legal "rally" tires. They are expensive but if you push your car, they will save your bacon.

I have had the Goodyear GTII's which are lower than garbage in my opinon and also dangerous. Went from them to the Goodyear BB's which I liked. Then before we went on vacation I put on the Avons. Avons are great tires also.

This time around I think I'm going to go with the Goodyear G7's if they are the same compound as the BB's. If they are a harder compound, then it's back to the BB's.

By going to the BB's or G7's you will lose 50 pounds of unsprung weight which is considerable.

I use them (AVONs) and have for about two years. Maybe 12k miles. Tread wear for me is very good for such a soft tire. Very round, balance dead easy. Predictable. I got these from Sasco. Compared to the Yoko's I had, these are leagues better.
