Passenger Rear Wheels Stuck HELP!
First my knock-offs were stuck, I finally got those off with a lead hammer. Now the passenger side rear wheel is stuck on. Is there anything I can't see that's holding it on? The other three wheels came right off. I even got under there and smacked the inside of the tire with the lead hammer all the way around the tire. I can move the wheel side to side a tiny bit by pulling on the tire, but it just won't come off. Any ideas?
The wheels are Trigo's. Pic attached below.

Put the spinner back on, and leave it just slightly loose - just a hair. Move the car back and forth in the garage a few times.

Thanks! This, along with some more lead hammer action on the tire worked. Off to Discount Tire to get my Billboards mounted!

When I first put my wheels on I didn't use enough antisieze to coat all the areas and I had one that was a b**ch to get off. I took a seat beside it and grasped it top and bottom and just kept yanking on it alternately. Then I grabbed it at 3 and 9 o'clock and did the same thing. It took awhile but it finally, gradually started to walk it's way off. It wasn't frozen on with corrosion - just too much friction on the pins. if you think it's frozen you may have to get a bigger hammer to beat the rear of the tire with.

I have my tires and wheels off 3 or more times a year just to check suspension bolts and such.
It scares me when I read about people that have not removed their tires and wheels in 2, 3 years or even longer.

I had to take a 2x4 from the other side of the car and smack it with a 6 pound. The pins are all out of alignment. Sort of a hokey, wanna be system if you ask me.

I agree. The pins are out of alignment on my too (Passenger rear only though). Is there a fix for this?

using a fixture you can or have a machine shop drill your hubs to correct dimensions. If they are way off you could rotate and then re-drill. If off small amount you could go to sprint car pins which are bigger. On your wheels you, or machine shop can drill then ream out holes oversize and then put sleeves into wheels.

I would think it easier to align what's already there. Certainly cheaper and easier. |
