Does anyone know if there is a bump steer kit made for SPF cobras that can be readily purchased , I lowered my car and have been told I need this kit prior to doing a realignment

Could you post before and after pics? I'd love to see the difference.

Cobra Valley sells ball joints that are supposed to address this concern.

Someone is trying to sell you a bill of goods.

My SPF is about as low as you can go. Bellhousing is less than 3 inches off the road. And the tie rods are pretty much parallel with the floor. No bump steer issues with that geometry.

Baer makes one for Mustang II that fits...Part 3261004. You may have to lengthen the threads on the tie rod to obtain full adjustment. As for ball joints, I wouldn't recommend using them to correct bump steer. Doing so changes a lot of other suspension parameters. The Cobra Valley (QA1 brand) ball joint will also raise the cars roll center and decrease camber gain, certainly not desirable changes. If you want really good ball joints, go with Howe Racings part 22320,NASCAR approved, made in USA, rebuildable, and zero breakaway force.

John,

What is the measurement on your car from the bottom of the rim to the top of the fender in the back? Just curious, since I took a look at an old doc that I had from the SCOF library they recommend a ride height of 22.5" for 15" rims.

My car was set up low (which I like) and it measures about 21 1/4". I get some tire rub on big dips, but it handles well and looks good. 22.5" would make it loook like a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
