I was only pulled over once and that wasn't for speeding. I was doing 70 in a 70 MPH zone. I also had my gun with me. As the officer came up to the car I told him that I had my gun and that I also had a permit to carry it. He thanked me for telling him about it and then told me if I wondered why he pulled me over he had seen my Cobra several times on the freeway was always going to other way and he just wanted to look it over. We spent about 30 minutes there talking abut cars and he had a nice MOPAR that he had restored. Then once when I had my garage door open a police car pulled into my driveway and that officer just wanted to look at the Cobras. For the most part, our police around here are pretty nice and will give you a break if you are doing something that isn't way out of line. But like all places, we do have the couple of jerks that give the rest a bad name.

While driving a mile further down the road I saw a car rapidly approaching me from behind, then the dreaded flashing lights came on. I signalled and pulled her over waiting for my fate.

The policeman came up and first out of his mouth was "is it real?" to which I responded no it's a replica. He told me he pulled me over because I broke the rear tires loose and it is illegal in Illinois to do. I know I held traction but I think all of the noise lead him to believe otherwise.

He told me it was a beautiful car and to hold it down around town, he said to take it out to the country to have fun with it and gave me a verbal warning and told me to have a nice night.

Shook his hand and told him to do the same, so did my car just get me into trouble and out of trouble at the same time???????????
That sounds strangely familiar! Yes the car definitley gets plenty of attention - some less desirable. The cops around here seem to really like cars too. Luckily we've got some great back roads around here to wind her up and DRIVE!
