They only minimize cross-firing. I'd go for the ones that eliminate cross-firing.

I started out with these and added some SS mounting. Hoping to keep the heat off the plastic.

Because they are flat, they stick out the sides a bit. Not a lot of room in a Cobra engine bay to begin with.

I've used this type for many years and really like them.
Keeps the separated and clean, plus being aluminum, they can polish out easily.

These are actually made for a small block Chevy. But I like the way they look, and how close they fit, so I adapted my valve covers to fit.

If you had any cross-firing, it'll be a problem with the leads, and you'd get zapped if you touched them.

I like the routing of the wires from the distributor. It stays in front of the heads and then turns and runs beside the head above the plugs. That would take longer than a standard wire (I think). Do you get wires for a 460 or do you get the kit and put the ends on yourself?
I expect the insulation boots are a good idea. Depending on taste, not the prettiest things. Did you consider wrapping the headers with insulation instead? Pros and cons?
Thanks

I like the idea of turning the looms up rather than flat, as is gives more room to get to the plugs. To do this just flip the brackets over? I was thinking I could do that, but until they are in your hands????
thanks

I buy the MSD 8.8 universal kit, and put the ends on myself. It's really easy to do, and doesn't really take that long. The kit includes the crimping tool. All you need is a razor blade and a bench vice. It usually takes me about an hour or so to get everything just the way I like it.

These looms I laser cut out of flat SS (.035"). There are tabs on the bottom that I bent to 90 degs and bolted to the valve cover. It looks like the others are make out of billit, you might be able to make a braket to allow up right mounting...

i think this is what you are looking for:
R&M Specialties 1105-90-P - R&M Billet Wire Looms - Overview - SummitRacing.com
this is for a sbf application. I used the same ones made for a FE this is what it looks like:
i also used a universal spark plug wire set from moroso with 45 degree
plug boots to ease the routing of the wires. When they say universal it means you have to cut them to the right lenght and crimp the terminal at the distributor. Very easy to do.
Hope this helped.

Using a thicker silicone plug wire, the the 9 or 10.4mm, will help out greatly. I use the Taylor 10.4mm, wire separators and loom that I spoke about earlier, with no issues for 8 years now.

The main cause for breakdown in the leads is near the end. Especially if you make your own. What I do is insert about 3/4 inch 1 mm steel wire into the carbon centre of the lead. This then picks up the high voltage spark further up the lead. Because If the spark jumps to the connecter at the end, it actually tracks some of the carbon with it, eventually having to jump a larger gap.
Also I love the accel yellow big coil. [cant remember the name] They are extremely efficient.
