Default Wimmins in Cobras

What do yours do for their hair? My wife has beautiful, long, strawberry blonde, hair which I absolutely love. But when cruising in the Cobra at anything over 10mph it has to be restrained somehow. Right now she uses those rubber band kinds of things to tie it up into a bun on the back/top of her head, spare me the "shifter ball" jokes cuz I already used'em on her. At any rate, what do your wimmins do for their hair and how successful is it? For you lady Cobra pilots don't take this as sexist because we'd really like your feedback as well.

Pony tail with elastic and a baseball cap.

She bought a scarf to use but when she tried it on she said she looked like Muslim which I did not disagree with. So she never actually tried it.

No problem. My wife refuses to ride in the car.

I've got the same problems(s) with my wife. I love her hair, but it's too short to do the ponytail thing and the wind makes a mess of it in the Cobra, just as you said, above 10mph.

I've suggested the scarf as well, but she just won't do that. She's afraid to ride in my car as it is, so I really don't need more excuses for her. We'd like suggestions, guys - and ladies!

Too smelly, too noisy, too dirty, too dangerous, not a problem!

Get her a visor and hairpins to keept from flying of, or a bandanna will help as well.

Thanks for the responses so far guys, For you guys who's wives won't ride with you, sorry man. Mine loves the thing, calls it my "Happy Car" because it makes everyone smile. Including her.

"Visor with hair pins or a bandana?" How long is your wife's hair? That would last to about 20mph for mine. Same for the big floppy hat, How the heck do they keep them on?

"Pony tail and ball cap." She uses this sometimes but complains of "split-ends" unless the pony tail is gathered into the bunn. Then we're right back to the same thing.

Lady Cobra pilots?

Not wanting to ride in one is a pretty rational response. There isn't much in a Cobra for the passenger. I have ridden a little in mine when my son drove; did not like it, and it wasn't his driving. I love to drive it, though. The sound of a 427 in the 4-6k rpm range is something I daydream about.

I have long hair and for me the best is a beanie with a Visor,we have them, or one of those winter ski-caps with the flaps that tie under the chin. The modified Wind wings made the most difference.

lovehamr,

Kay wears a newsboy or engineer hat. Some examples can be found at e4hats.com

It's deeper than a baseball cap so it tends to stay on better. Hair can fit inside them.

Neither you nor I have that problem

Tom

Staples! No not really, they keep bending over. Actually we both braid our hair and wear tight fitting ball caps. And....she loves to cruise.

That's a hell of an idea Tom! And you are of course right about us not needing anything. Well maybe sunscreen!

D, looks like she has quite nice hair, does she ever complain about split-ends?
