Lippy - that sounds great!
Almost every Cobra replica is an S/C replica. Why not be different? The undercar exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheels, no roll bar, the FIA wheels ....they all add that little bit of subtlety to a very unsubtle car. I love it!

Here is another photo that is close to what I'm thinking. I really like this low look with the smooth hood and dark solid color. This car does in fact have a roll bar but would look good without. I think the FIA wheels and black quick jacks would be cool on this car too.

Finding the cross sectional area of a pipe is the easy part,flattening the pipe would be very hard to do.Look your frame over where the exhaust would have to go and see what it would take for mods.The tailpipes on our car went under the differential with room to spare.Was going up and over but would have been very tight and too close to the fiberglass. |

That's a real beauty, but I would still ditch the roll bar, no quickjacks, no FIA wheels, and find a set of Sunbursts. 
But that's me. You should check out the album of CC member 428street. He built a complete "street" ERA with original Sunbursts. IIRC, he dotted his i's and crossed his t's in virtually every way as it relates to "street" details.
Again, I'm not a big mix and match fan. |

That car is beautiful, first one I ever liked with no sidepipes. It just sits right.

Early Olds 442's used chambered pipes out the back bumpers instead of resonators at the end of the exhaust system...worked quite well to quiet down the "noise".
I have always thought we could simpley use chambered ovalized pipe to facilitate undercar exhaust clearances, no need for a muffler if the chambered pipe were used....glad to see a commerical source for ovalized pipe posted, now if we could just get them to "chamber" the pipes! I could see that this company might be approachable about the issue

Roll bar?
Sorta like taking a snake-bite kit on a picnic! (no pun intended)
You are glad you have it but you hope you never need it!
Same story for fire extinguishers, fire suits, etc. Smoke alarms may be annoying if you burn the toast, but that annoying device can save a life, too.
I wish I had gotten two roll bars instead of just one!
