CSX4224 goes 195.8 mph in the standing 1.5 mile

Looking at the Mojave Magnum standing 1.5 mile results in June this year, I saw that a 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX4224 went 195.8 mph. The name says Virgil Benton from La Jolla, CA. Anyone know him? Would love to hear the details.

(CSX4224 is listed in the SAAC registry as belonging to Virgil, but I don't know him.)

It's been a while since I talked to Virgil or seen his Shelby. However, I know he's got a very hot car (aluminum with an aluminum Shelby FE motor) and the guys loves laughing gas. The last time I saw the car, he had just taken posession of it from Shelby American and I had my Cobra at his house so he could put mine up on his rack for assembly reference. Virgil has the most incredible garage I've ever seen in a residential neighborhood.
