I was at a car show with my replica when I stumbled across this original AC.
What a joy the owners were to talk to and hear their stories, but the car had a automatic transmission.
He stated there were only 4 made that way that year I believe. What a neat car and neat people!

Strollers next to Cobras gives me the chills-not the good kind.

And with good reason. My brother has a '68 GTO - all original. Was at a car show and a lady pushing a stroller side-swiped a beautifully restored '65 GTO and put a deep, 6" scratch on the right rear fender.

So, this photo gives me the chills also...

Regards,

Kevin

What wheels are on that car? Look a little like the Sunburst pattern, but is something different?

Sunbursts, but without the rim and spokes polished.

My first thought also. Bicycles, baby strollers, heavy metal purses and small, unrestrained children do not belong at car shows.

Beautiful, narrow hip Cobra with Starburst wheels. No rear flares on that one.

Nice share, always a thrill isn't it?

...you know if Chas gets the chills, it's gotta be bad. :p

I had my car at a local get together a couple years ago and a toddler was standing on my side pipe peering in. And I've read about that before also. The kid's dad was too self absorbed with a phone call that couldn't wait.

Not me but how about a buds BDR parked near by? Tot peering over passenger door, holding ice cream cone and several of us turned around and saw it together.
At that instant the cream fell out of the cone, onto the seat. The tot yells bloody hell and flees-leaving small vanilla hand prints on door edge and rear fender.
I've never gone to one again.

It is a matter of teaching kids early to respect the value of other peoples cars. I made it a habit of checking out cars at the garages at racetracks and I bring the kids, 2 and 5. They were both thought not to touch, but to just look. With the gracious consent of the owners, my 5 year old has sat in some priceless automobiles and he understands to be very careful and to always respect these cars.http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d.../sIMG_4634.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d.../sIMG_4642.jpg

I was thrilled just to sit in it and look at the orignal layout of everything. The owner and his wife were outstanding folks that were very willing to talk to you. He actually got that car in the mid 70's and has hung on to it ever since.

The poor guy has had a rough life physically due to a accident in his teens but still has a great outlook on life.
