Original color of CSX 3275

This car is CSX 3275 and it was apparently repainted in its original color. Does anyone know what this color is, and also the code? Thanks!

Nice color. You could always call Bruce Canepa since he painted it, I believe.
For some reason, I kinda doubt they'll give away trade secrets, but you never know. |

It is not an original '60's color.

CSX3275 was originally red.

Here is an interesting history of CSX3275.
1967 Shelby 427 Cobra : Lot 241 Looks like it started as Rangoon Red then Black then to a Dark Blue by former owner Bruce Canepa. Looks like, after a complete cosmetic restoration, Bruce then sold it for $715,000. George |
The current CSX Navy Blue is pretty close to this. (PPG 5387)

Lippy,
CSX3360 was originally Red and was beautifully restored by Bruce Canepa. Looks like the same, if not very a similar dark non metallic blue, as he used on CSX3275. Don't know how much success you will have finding out precisely what the color is. However, if you talked with Bruce they might paint your car for you, and you could request that exact color. It would not doubt be a spectacular paint job. I like the current CSX Navy Blue. Looks similar, although pics can be deceiving.
I REALLY like the Halibrand mag wheels and that look with no roll bar, no hood scoop and rear exhaust. |

I owned CSX3275 for about 10 years. I purchased it in Rangoon red, had a nuts and bolts total body off frame restoration done on it by Bill Kemper. I had it is finished in Mercedes Benz Schwartz.

You know, there are so many Cobra replicas out there with sidepipes and rollbars that you forget just how pretty these cars are with rear exhaust and no rollbar.

It's easy to forget, that the majority of big block cars came out of Thames Ditton clean. Though, I would agree, that the narrow wheels look fine on the small block cars, but totally lost in the big block wheel wells! ERA made a Street FIA that is really nice looking. Cheers.
