Valentine One with Laser Jammers. If someone can teach us how to combat instant-on, then I'm all ears.
I have a switch that does that and after 90 seconds it turns itself back on. For instant on radar i just listen for short warnings while the cop clocks people ahead of me. if i'm the only one on the road i just do the speed limit,

How do you guys here the radar detectors in your cobras?

More like a quarter of a mile. Also, if he's running a specter, he's also running radar. So if you are in one of those republics where the detector is illegal you may want to shut that puppy off when you get alerted to the presence of traffic radar because the specter will probably be there as well.

In this video they sniffed it in just under 2000', in the rain. On the detector forums there are threads asking Valentine why he doesn't fix the leakage and, apparently, "he is working on it."

And this: Spectre 4 RDD (Radar Detector Detector) Test 2009 that indicates Valentine leaks more from the rear than it does from the front, which is bad, because the preferred mode of use is to run in the far left lane, passing cars at a decent clip, until your Spectre alerts and then you point it at the individual cars that you're approaching in order to nail 'em. More recent threads indicate that there is no interest in plugging the Valentine leak. Apparently it would require a ground-up redesign.

Most of the manufacturers have amplified external speakers, like this:

Auxiliary Speaker - Radar Detectors
