Default Spotters: Which 427 street Cobra at St. John's Concours 2011 ?

Does anyone know the chassis number and/or owner of this gorgeous 427 street Cobra, which was photographed at the Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's (Jul 31, 2011, Plymouth MI) ?

Is it original or replica?

I think I may have answered my own question. It looks like this is a Kirkham replica produced by master builder, David Wagner, and with a sale pending through Dynamic Auto West in Redwood City CA.

Did anyone look at the pics? Why would one go out of his way to make a correct looking 289 to stick in a 427 body?

Maybe so it would look like a AC 289 Sport. More scarce than SC's

Default Dave Wagner's AC 289 Sport

Dave did build this car to simulate an AC289 Sports (except for chrome wires). It's really sweet.

You don't have to run wire wheels on an AC 289 - they came from the factory with splines for wires and bolts in the pin-drive holes for alloy wheel use. Believe it or not, some owners have even taken those bolts out, thrown in some pins, and are using alloys on their cars. What will they think of next?

I thought it was an ERA until I saw that it was aluminum...Very similar to my car except for the color and engine choice.

What did it sell for?
