Can be yours for $850.000.

Nevada Classics

Notice how a bar goes down the middle of the interior from the factory installed roll bar. Let's see, what would the payments be...

$850,000 is above market for a small block, especially since the original engine isn't with the car.

If I paid $850K for a car, I'd park it in my living room, too.

Well it could park beside my Cobra in the heated garage. But I doubt that my wife would like to move it to vacumn the living room flooor. Besides, red would not go with her color sceme. We all know how wives and colour co-ordination go.

Nice car but it has been modified to be a 289, not a 260. The fender vents have been added, the wheels are not the early 260 5.5" lip-lace but the later 6.0" center lace type.

Of course back in the day it was OK to "upgrade" youur Cobra to the latest specification and cut and hack as needed to make it go faster. Sometimes in the search for "virgin originals" we tend to forget this. So the continued "Hot Rodding" of Cobras is why an untouched, factory spec car is so rare today.

And I don't understand why the seller is keeping the CSX number a secret. Any serious buyer is going to the registry before dealing so you won't scare any real buyer off with the number.

OK, so how about a real Shelby GT 350 VIN # 0001 for $500,000?

Dupont Registry

It simply amazes me that cars are even listed for this much money, but I suppose if one has money to burn....I'd just hate to be on the seller end of a car that needed to be listed for a huge amount.

Yes looks a little expensive - but it is a dealer..

They have a few nice cars on their site. I particularly like a couple of the 2+2 Mustangs.

Ruined it by putting a 289 into it. I know an original 260, unrestored, and it's a great looking car. I think Otto/Peter's car is better looking and worth more than this one.

I have yet to see two identical unmodified original cars.
