Guys where could I buy a 289 slab undercar exhaust system and headers for a car with 3" original style chassis.

Good luck if you're looking for original manifolds. I'd use headers. Hillbank sells a complete system but you could also have a system made. Most competent exhaust shops could make it.

Here's the Hiillbank system:

David Wagner (248) 767-0548 in Michigan. The originals were small diameter tubing with glass packs.

There's 3" FIA style or Belanger dump tubes as pictured, then there's tri Y style tubular headers, then there's the original style cast branch manifolds. What do you want?

As you look over these photos, bear in mind that my slabside Kirkham uses a big block frame, narrowed three inches. The frame tubes are four inches in diameter, the size and relative location of the cross pieces differ from the original and more. These photos may serve no other purpose than to suggest a configuration.
The headers and exhaust system were constructed under contract to David Wagner.

Nice looking Steve! I think I prefer the side exit to running all the way back. Just looks a little cleaner IMO.

If you want the reproductions of the original cast iron eshaust manifolds, Mike McCluskey is making them. I have several sets and they are first class work.
