Default 3M Paint Defender

Has anyone tried the new 3M Paint Defender spray? Looks like an amazing product. Good replacement for cling spats if it really works as well as it’s advertised. Knowing 3M it will perform well.

Default 3m Paint Defender

A very good, relatively new product on the market is called XPEL which is much better than Ventureshield. Must have a well experienced professional install but it is difficult to even see the couple of seams.

I bought the 3M Defender yesterday.

After my wife fills in the existing paint chips on the front of the rear fenders (courtesy of the Goodyear BB's) I'll apply the Defender.

After I apply the Defender I'll be glad to describe the application process and result. Determining the value of paint protection may take a 1,000 miles or so.

3M has a Q&A section on the internet for this product. One of the claims is that it provides 80% of the protection afforded by their clear sheet product.

Interesting..... 80% of sheet material. Waiting to hear what your thoughts are. I've not been able to find it anywhere around here via parts stores. Could order through Amazon but thought if anyone had experience with it before I did.

Auto Zone is another source. I visited two stores within 12 miles of each other. One store didn't stock it. The second store had it displayed in a stand-alone rack.
