Had a pretty good time at Dyno Day today. We gathered at Lou's Cars, in Littleton, CO. Lou, Bernie, and Ed are great car people, and will bend over backwards to help anybody out. If you have any kind of problem, or need anything tuned, they can do it.
It's nice to get together with friends and talk cars. Fun to run them on the dyno, too. I took some video. As soon as I can figure out how, I'm going to post it here.
Only 6 club members ran their cars on Lou's dyno. There were more scheduled, but some people couldn't make it. Too bad, it was the perfect day for it. Here's how everybody did:
Engine.............. ..........HP.......... TQ
327 Chevy..................143......... 242
390 FE.......................276..........330
347 Stroker ...............299......... 350
302 Supercharged.......370......... 387
427 Stroker ...............411......... 442
427 Stroker ...............514......... 517
The names have been deleted to protect the innocent (and preserve some dignity).
The 327 Chevy got the Dyno Dog "trophy". It's a stuffed dog that rolls around on the floor and laughs maniacally. That made us all laugh.
The 427 Stroker got the Dyno King "trophy". It's a stuffed lion from the movie "Madagascar".
Bernie, Lou, and Ed put on a great day, and a great BBQ. Lou and Bernie make some of the best green chile anywhere. And the pulled pork was just Killer! I can't say enough good things about you guys. Thanx so much for putting on a great day for everyone. You guys are the best!
As you can see from the pictures, there was a variety of cars there. I really like those old 'vettes. They may not be as fast as the new one's, but they are my favorites. Everyone likes to see the variety. Obviously, the Cobra is our favorite car. But we are not car snobs. If it's shiny, go's fast, and makes cool noises.. we like it!
If you took any pictures today, please post them here. We want to make the people who couldn't make it jealous.
Here's to another great summer with the Mile Hi Cobra Club.
