Thought this looked like the Honey West Cobra and was apparently exhibited in a museum as such. Honey West car was CSX2540, though: The Anne Francis "Honey West"cobra

Was that Delco expansion tank standard on the later cars, or was that added afterward?

I think that's a Harrison tank which like the early radiators was a GM (Corvette) repurposed part.
I also think it was considered a race style addition or upgrade to the Falcon/Mercury tanks.

Well, no. Where else would you put it?

And that's an early expansion tank, not typical for this late a car.
