Up date!
Well its Sunday morning , re gap the plugs to 00.50. clean out idle air bleeds, installed extra ground strap, Car started right up. idle real smooth at 1000 rpm.. drove it down the block,1/4 miles made right turn jump on it the engine sounded real strong. at next light its stalls out, when at idle ,had to baby gas pedal to keep it running.Got back to home in garage it started idle again on its own, but rough. I guess im going to have carb service.

If the carb is right, its not going to change by driving down the road.......I would do a leak down test.....sounds like you're burning oil.......doesnt need much to foul.........the other .......MSD..........I still cannot fathom why anyone uses that............The plug gap still sounds a little big........the wider plug gap has kinda the same affect as advancing the timing...........hence the foul-up.........

An easy ..old school way to check if its the rings.........hold at a steady 3000 rpm for fifteen seconds.......then blip the throttle........not girlie style.......like a man you know a blip right to the floor.......white smoke coming outa pipes.......means rings......not gospel..... But if that produces smoke then do a leak down

From your description, I don't think your plugs are fouled. I think your engine craps out after a few miles, or after it has warmed up.
I think you either have a fuel delivery problem like a partially clogged fuel line or a coil starting to die.
Also, you have a choke on that carb. Are you positive it is fully opening once warmed up?

You know.......one time a car did this to me and it ended up being some paper from the paint shop in the tank........soon as you stop the pump stops sucking and the paper falls away..............just. check.....you never know........
