Default A $42k era?

No affiliation, but sheesh, $42K for an ERA needing some rings?

Granted, it does have a 428.

On Cobracountry now.

That's a killer deal. Just pull the engine and do a freshen up.

Or just contact one of the trusted builders that post here and build a Pond 482 or whatever. And sell the 428 parts off.

$42K? Wow! I'll bet Bill is "sniffing" around this one.

You know, I vaguely remember problems with the Total Seal "gapless rings" and really high oil consumption. There was some sort of problem ten years or so ago, I think; but I just can't remember.

Has me thinking about buying it, transferring my puny 482 into it, and then me building my SOHC engine for the Kirkham.

The silver stripes and the $38K+ for the KC SOHC are the only things holding me back.

So? $80K for an ultra rare Cammer ERA with good content? (actually a few shekels more to get the footboxes and steering shaft from Peter).
You let Malone's CSX trade higher and hated yourself. When you stopped hating yourself, we took over and hated you for you.
This is appropriately discounted being 'only' an ERA.

No, no, no, no, no. The Cammer would go into the Kirkham. The ERA would get the POS 482 that I currently own.

The "boat anchor", er, I mean 428, would be tossed into the trash.

What I like about Bill's Cammer CSX was that it was built by Bill and his well-known attention to detail. The only negative, for me, was that it was a glass car. But I REALLY liked it.

Do you remember the gapless ring debacle of about 10 years ago, or is it my imagination?

Has anyone ever thought about a bunch of us joining together and making investments like this and putting them in a "Club Cobra Livery" for resale? Just a thought. I'm sure PT can come up with 26 pages of legal stuff.
