I hear you man, I am saving the old one from the unchromed alternator instead, which I will send out to be rebuilt as a back up.

I would not put anyone to the pain I went through with this pain in the rear small pulley. I have a place of dishonor for it in my cave..

Lou,

Having back up stuff for these cars is a good thing. Except in Nomad's case. He just replaces the engine with everything new on it. Then he rebuilds the engine he took out because of the screeching belt and keeps the whole thing as a backup.

Great timing this thread, I've had bit's and pieces chromed recently, and I forgot the alternator pulley. Lucky I didn't get it done. I never thought about the slippage.

The small diameter did not help either. The guys at March Performance are great at this stuff.
