Default Arrival and first drive

AWESOME day! My first cobra arrived today....had to wait to unload while a thunderstorm rained itself out, but finally was able to unload it from the transport and take it out for my first drive. What an incredible experience...so much power (even with a 5L), the sound thumping deep in your chest, smiles, waves and thumbs up from neighbors, and the feeling that this car is just raw. I didn't push it hard (too much training left to do before I explore it) but felt just like when I was put on a horse for the first time....I might be holding the reigns, but I might not be the one in charge....

Neighbor drove his golf cart over - "I had to see what in the h*** woke me up when you drove by" .

My wife went for the first ride, and really liked it, and afterwards said "that thing is a BEAST".

Best comment came from my son after his ride "Dad, you are IRON MAN cool!"

I don't believe I'll ever forget this day!!!

Today my son and i went to a local Cars and Coffee...met some great people and the cobra got lots of attention. One of the local guys is a forum member here (has a Kirkham) but brought his Ford GT - and he let my son sit in the driver's seat. My son is having an awesome weekend, too.

Good for you. Nothing better than being able to share time and a passion with your son.

Nice looking cobra.

ADDICTION- nah I'm completely in control! I find myself coming up with excuses to go out to the garage just to stare at the cobra...before I left for work today I took some extra time to clean the windshield and hit it with detailing spray. Wow, can't believe i have to wait all day to drive it. Home from work a little early- checked the radar from my desk and looks like rain clearing- hmmm, i can just take this work with me, no sense spending ALL afternoon in the office. just a quick trip before dinner would do nicely.....

After dinner- well, honey- I'm an 1/8th of a tank down, maybe I should run down to the station and top 'er off. No sir- no addiction for me. Hey it's 11pm- I think I left the garage light on, better go check it......
