Default Any Cobras in or near Arcadia California?

Getting closer to moving from Miami to Southern California. Office is in downtown LA, and looks like we are renting a home initially, while we get to know the region, in Arcadia. Probably looking to buy / rehab something in either Arcadia, Pasadena, Burbank, or Glendale. Want to keep the commute to less than 20 miles. Going in at 5:30 am and returning at 2:30 PM on most days...so I will not be in peak traffic either way. Any cobras in the neighborhood? What about car shows? Weekly get togethers? How about shooting ranges (rifle, pistol)? Of course there is the inevitable question about registering a cobra that has been registered for 6 years in Florida. But hopefully that won't be a major hurdle. Look forward to driving up the PCH!!

I lived in Arcadia for about 12 years and I live not too far from there now.
I know the area pretty well. Send me a PM and let me know when you hit town.

Here is your shooting range:

I grew up in Arcadia, Burro is probably the only option now as far as rifle ranges. There are a few indoor pistol ranges in the area.

Lynn Park is a well known Cobra collector, lives in South Pasadena. One of his 289 street cars sits in the NHRA museum at close by Pomona Fairgrounds. South Pasadena has a 2 shows /year, always a Cobra there.

Art Center College of Design in Pasadena has a yearly show with Leno, etc showing up with breathtaking stuff..can't miss that.

Arcadia Arboreteum has 'Snakes in the Grass', a yearly show of Cobras on their grounds. Route 66 runs thru LA, Pasadena, Arcadia, etc.. plenty of local shows.

Best-

Jeff

Burro looks like the spot to practice. Need to find some BPCR matches in the state. Sounds like some interesting cobra events. Looking forward to it and thanks for the invite Bernica .. I will take you up on that once I get settled.

After much searching - I just leased a home in Pasadena yesterday and I am heading out on Thursday the 15th to get the keys and set up a bedroom. I will be 7-10 days in LA and then a week back in Miami - until our Miami home sells. I might try and have the cobra shipped before everything else. As soon as I get the car there Bernica - I will contact you regarding registration. I am expecting that since I am simply re-registering a car that I have had for 6 years, it shouldn't be a major issue. The neighborhood association in the area I am moving to is having a Classic Car Show and Chili Cookoff on August 23rd. Nice!
