Default Eastwood exhaust coating. anyone tried it?

Silver High Temp Coating Kit

My headers and side pipes are not coated just painted. I can't afford ( retired now ) to have them done by Jet Hot. I'm wondering if anyone has tried the Eastwood product and if they are satisfied with the results.

I used it some years ago on exhaust manifolds. They probably got a little hotter than the temp recommended, but it worked well. Be sure they are absolutely free from rust or any other contaminants and the coating will last a lot longer. I got about 3 years before I started seeing some rust again.

Roger- Drop down to Nashville, and let Nitro-plate blast and ceramic coat them for you. They did mine about a month ago and they are as good as I have seen. For $135 you can't beat them. Headers will cost you another $200, and may not be worth it to you. Their phone # is 615-826-4914. Their reputation on this forum is much better than Jet Hot.

You may want to find a local place to powder coat them in high temp powder. I had that done on a set of headers and they looked great and lasted a long time. I paid $50 to have it done, which was pretty cheap in the big picture of things.

that sounds like an excellent price .... thanks for the information. I was under the impression that professional coating would cost much more.
