Default Car Shipping Advice?

I need to ship my Cobra to its new home, from Gilroy, CA to Lindale, Texas, about 1,800 miles.

Any advice of carriers?

I have used Reliable Carriers with good success, but they are not available on my time frame this time. Their quote was $1,650 but the 4 week pickup window just doesn't work.

I have a quote for $1,450 from UAT (United Auto Transporters) enclosed trailer with insurance, via phone this morning. Reliable was $1,650, but unavailable.

I'm doing some google searches now, but everybody says they are the best, like always I suppose.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I have used Intercity with excellent results.
Right now it may be very difficult to find a carrier due to the auto events at Pebble Beach, etc. in August.

I used Intercity based on feedback from this forum and their competitive price. No way I would use them again, based on the way they dealt with me. I don't feel the need to add specifics, but PM me if you want more details.

Im also an owner of a Ford Gt and they are holding their rally in CA. If you look at their web site ( FordGTforum.com).There is mention of a lot of trucks headed that way by reliable carriers. It might be possible that they will be moving out empty and you can grab a spot? Can't say from experience but if you get on the "Rally" thread, theres plenty of recommendations. It could at least be a reference spot?

Good Luck!

I have used Intercity for all of my personal shipments.

My Shelby GTs were delivered to me by Reliable (from Shelby Las Vegas to avoid double shipping to the dealer). I also think I used Reliable to bring my Cobra from BJ/Scottsdale.

I would give either a nod, but my preference is for Intercity due to quicker scheduling in my area.
